Tile & Grout – Getting It Clean – Keeping It That Way!

Challenge – Keeping the Porous Grout Clean

Enter a public restroom and take a good look at the grout. Is it dark gray and dirty? Maybe it started out that color, but very often that is not the case! Look at the area in front of the sink.  Now, take a good look at the grout lines under the sink or on the cove base. Are they the same color? Grout is extremely porous; it is essentially a readily available sponge for anything that comes in contact with it. It is likely full of urine, packed dirt and debris that regular cleaning and mopping will not extract.

Left untreated, this foul mixture creates an offensive smell that lingers in the air and a dark color that can be seen in high traffic areas. Tile & Grout bathroom
Ultra Durable Technologies (UDT) 3 step Tile and Grout Cleaning System.

1. Clean, 2. Color and 3. Coat

Step 1: CLEAN with Ultra Deep Clean!

Ultra Deep Clean is a unique, high-performance low-pH organic salt solution cleaning technology that is designed to aggressively attack dirt and stains without damaging or etching ceramic and porcelain tiles or fixture surfaces.

Step 2: COLOR using UDT Grout Colorant!

Once you tiles have been thoroughly ULTRA Deep Cleaned, you notice, perhaps your grout is dingy, or the color just needs an update. UDT Grout Colorant is an efficient process for recoloring your grout for a fresh, new look. Your UDT Grout Colorant will keep your grout – still looking like grout, without a heavy, plastic-looking layer.

Step 3: COAT using EPIC High Performance Floor Finish!

Your tile and grout are looking like new. What’s to prevent them from looking just like it did in a few weeks or days? We recommend a thin coat of our EPIC that will provide a continuous membrane, sealing both the tile and the grout. This will prevent the pores from collecting dirt and keep your entire room fresh smelling and easy to clean with just routine maintenance. Gloss, Semi-Gloss and Matte finishes are available.

How Long will my New Floor Last?

Depending on the daily maintenance practices employed, you should expect it to last a minimum of 3 years in a high traffic commercial environment. Then, simply clean, abrade and apply a fresh coat of EPIC.
