Case Study: Metro Flooring Supply Salvages Metallic Floor With Ultra HTS Urethane
The Red Lake Nation Community Center had 4,400 sq ft of metallic epoxy floor installed in 2020. The existing metallic epoxy was dull, slippery, and full of scratches and roller marks. The original installer told John Boyd, owner and operator of Bear Claw Hardwood Flooring, there was no way to fix these floors. Fortunately, John attended a concrete coatings training session at Metro Flooring Supply (MFS) and learned about Ultra HTS. Scott Groenke from MFS provided a plan for John to successfully salvage the floor by applying one thin coat of Ultra HTS. The Ultra HTS urethane was durable, easy to apply, and has no odor! The floors at the Red Lake Nation Community Center look beautiful again!
Each quarter, a UDT employee is selected at random to choose a charity to which they would like us to make a $1,000 donation. Justin Nathe, Lead Quality Control Chemist, was selected this quarter and has elected to support the Tri-County Humane Society.
The Tri-County Humane Society (TCHS) is a nonprofit animal shelter located in St. Cloud, Minnesota, operating independently since 1974. TCHS has been dedicated to serving both the people and animals of Central Minnesota.
The organization offers shelter for homeless animals, pet adoption, a lost-and-found service for pets, and humane education programs. It also provides expert advice on pet care, behavior, and a wide range of animal-related concerns.
