ENVIRONMENTAL

UDT realized many years ago that “there has to be a better way” to care for floors than to continue using traditional coatings. IMPACT was designed as a single-coat finish to tackle the issue of environmental sustainability by decreasing the amount of water, energy, and chemicals required to prep, apply, and maintain gorgeous facility floors.

• Elimination of the need to strip floors dramatically decreases water usage
• No more buffing results in far less electrical energy consumption
• Stripper and wax waste are no longer washed down the drain and into our ecosystem
• Harsh cleaning chemicals are no longer needed to clean and maintain surfaces.

Our products save an astounding amount of material and energy versus acrylic wax. To put things in perspective, over a 10-year period, IMPACT would only need to be reapplied 2-3 times compared to an average 20-30 recoats of acrylic. Plus, hundreds of weekly buffing cycles would be eliminated, as well. Imagine the amount of wax that is kept out of our sewers!

ECONOMIC

In terms of economic sustainability, UDT addressed the time-consuming task of maintaining floors by formulating IMPACT to last 3-5 years (or more) and to look as great during that entire time as it did on the day it was applied. Coupled with the fact that it does not need to ever be buffed or stripped, IMPACT helps businesses achieve a positive ROI within the first year.

SOCIAL

To support social sustainability, Ultra Durable Technologies promotes social equity through its hiring practices and contributes financially to local organizations that offer individuals the opportunities in life that all people deserve. UDT also practices social-environmental sustainability by striving to serve as stewards of one of our community’s most important natural resources, its clean water supply. Finally, knowing how important it is to ensure healthy buildings, human occupants benefit from improved IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) due to the elimination of the need for buffing floors. We can all sigh a fresh breath of relief!
