Project Highlight: The Casper, Wyoming Splash Pad Receives a Much-needed Facelift
Earlier this summer, Polished Concrete of Wyoming played a crucial role in restoring the local splash pad at David Street Station, Casper. Known for their expertise in concrete flooring, Freddie Guynn and his team tackled the project with precision. After grinding down the 2,100 sq ft surface, a clear basecoat of UDT’s extended working time polyaspartic, US85-EXT (purchased through Damon Colling of Diamond Vogel in Casper), was applied. Following the basecoat, the design elements were created by broadcasting a mixture of sand, quartz, and glass beads. To finish it off, a topcoat of US85-EXT was applied to provide resistance to UV rays and extreme weather.
The team worked up to 20 hours a day, ensuring high standards and timely completion. They generously donated all materials, charging only for labor, which kept the project within budget. The beautiful result ensures that the splash pad remains a beloved community space for years to come.
Each quarter, a UDT employee is selected at random to choose a charity to which they would like us to make a $1,000 donation. Kyle Hanson, Production Technician / Compounder II, was selected this quarter and has chosen to support WACOSA.
WACOSA has evolved from a grassroots organization into a significant service provider, now supporting over 650 adults with cognitive and/or physical disabilities.
With five program locations in Waite Park, St. Cloud, and Sauk Centre, MN, WACOSA offers a diverse range of services designed to enrich personal lives, provide employment and career opportunities, and foster community involvement through volunteering.
