How Does Floor Maintenance Affect Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)?
It is commonly known that poor indoor air quality (IAQ) can have adverse effects on our health, but did you know that how we maintain our hard floors can also impact the air we breathe? As a nation, we spend more than 90% of our time indoors, so it should not be a surprise that indoor air pollution has been deemed one of the top environmental risks to public health.
Adopting a floorcare plan that drastically reduces common pollutants can help improve your IAQ significantly and ensure a healthy indoor environment. There are several steps you can take to lessen the impact your maintenance program has on facility air quality. Read the following article to learn more!
PM2.5 is defined as fine particulate matter or droplets that can remain suspended and easily breathable for days or even weeks!

Cool NEW Green Tool!
Biodegradable Maroon Conditioning Pads
UDT is proud to announce the arrival of our biodegradable maroon conditioning pads! These new pads help us make important strides toward the sustainable nature of the EPIC Floor Finish program. They perform just like the previous pads for abrading existing EPIC Floor Finish in preparation for the recoating process. The pads can also be used to dull LVT floors and remove VCT factory finishes (request EPIC SOPS for specific instructions).
Full Cycle® Products are certified by Green Seal® for Environmental Innovation based on faster biodegradation in landfill conditions and 100% recycled content/natural fiber. In fact, ASTM D5511 testing shows 92.5% biodegradation of the pads in 616 days!
