Production Technician/Compounder

Job Summary:
The Production Technician/Compounder is responsible for producing and filling compounds. Compounders operate machinery that blends raw materials to produce chemical compounds. They must follow standard instructions to measure and disperse raw materials into the machinery accurately.  This role involves collaborating with other production team members to ensure efficient operations, with the potential to assume leadership responsibilities within the team. 

Job Details: 

• Position Type: Full-time 
• Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday  
• Optional Summer Hours:  7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday – Thursday, 8:00 to 12:00 pm, Friday 
• Overtime: as needed 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Understand and execute the operations, methods, and techniques used in the manufacturing of chemical products. 
• Precisely measure and blend various chemical compounds safely. 
• Fill dry and liquid chemical materials into appropriate containers as required. 
• Accurately record transactions, both in writing and through data entry. 
• Sort, stock and label filled products. 
• Support team members in daily production tasks. 
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly fashion. 
• Wear the provided safety equipment, i.e., dust mask, gloves, glasses etc., when handling raw materials. 
• Follow established safety procedures and exercise good safety practices to prevent accidents to self, others, and the facility. 
• Communicate promptly and openly to manager all operational and personnel problems. 
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements: 

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
• Proven team leadership potential 

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting 
• Minimum of 1 year experience with precise measuring and mixing of large batches 
• Minimum 1 year Forklift experience.  
• Able to identify raw materials for batches. 
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs. 
• Punctual and dependable  
• High School Diploma or GED 
• Basic math and computer skills 
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
