UDT and
GIVING
At UDT, we believe strongly in our responsibility to involve our employees and family members to give back to the community. Whether donating financially or with our time, we know we must all do our part to make our community stronger. Check out what we have been doing lately!
Ulta Durable Technologies Quarterly Donation
Each quarter, a UDT employee is selected randomly to choose a charity to which they would like us to make a $1,000 donation. The following are just a few examples of the great organizations to which our employees have chosen to give.
Michael Fernlund, a UDT production team member, was selected to choose a charity for Q1 2024. He chose the Minnesota Veterans Assistance Fund {Fund 85}) which works in conjunction with the Minnesota American Legion Foundation to offer cash assistance to help maintain the basic needs of veterans, deployed soldiers' families, and to assist surviving minor children of eligible veterans. Non-repayable grants are awarded to eligible applicants over a temporary period when it is determined that they need assistance. The purpose of the grant is to maintain a stable environment for the applicant by helping them meet the costs of shelter, food, utilities, transportation, and medical expenses. 100% of donations to Fund 85 go toward helping veterans in need. None of these donations go toward administrative costs or overhead to operate the Department of Minnesota or the national organization. For more information about Fund 85, click HERE.
To kick off 2023, one of our chemists, Michelle Hokanson, was chosen and has selected The Dwelling Place, a Christian Twin Cities non-profit organization that provides transitional housing, programs, and rehabilitation for women and their children suffering from domestic abuse. Fantastic choice, Michelle!

At the conclusion of every company-wide quarterly meeting, an employee is selected randomly to choose a charity to which they would like UDT to make a $1,000 donation. This quarter, our administrative assistant, Stephanie Hazen, was selected. She chose the St. Joseph chapter of Dollars for Scholars, which helps hometown students achieve their educational goals by raising scholarship funds, establishing endowments, providing assistance with college readiness and the financial aid process, and distributing scholarships each year.

STMA Breakfast Club Concrete Floor Coating Project (Completed September 2022)
UDT's own Chris Boxmeyer (Sales Rep) along with Travis Negaard (UDT company owner and president), Roger Negaard (Travis' father), Will and Owen Negaard (Travis' teenage twins) recently transformed the new concrete floors of the STMA Breakfast Club Barn floors into gorgeous coated surfaces.
The STMA Breakfast Club was founded in 2014 by Pastor Jake Vanada and wife, Christy. Their mission is to "feed the bellies and the souls" of St. Michael - Albertville High School students once per month during the morning hours before school. Parents from the community provide a full breakfast for the students, then the students gather to be a part of a prayer service. Pastor Jake's much needed message helps students navigate life as a teen in today's world. Attendance has grown from 12 to 561 students since 2022, about 1/4 of the student body.
To support the breakfast club, UDT made a pledge to prepare and coat the entire facility's floors. The results are stunning!
