EPIC Project Spotlight
Suburban Hospital - Johns Hopkins Medicine
Our EPIC Project Spotlight this month features the work of Compass Health at Suburban Hospital (Johns Hopkins Health System) in Maryland. Jonathan Verbus, Director of Environmental Services, and Kevin Lind, Co-Owner of Performance Finish Inc., collaborated on the project. The crew coated the terrazzo floors of the 2nd floor (including the main entrance and lobby), which is the highest traffic area in the hospital. Verbus states that the area is "truly an eye popper for any guest that enters our hospital." He also shares that using EPIC Matte and High Gloss finishes has saved a large amount of time, money, and labor because they no longer need to burnish floors to keep them shiny and to fix scratches. Verbus concludes that the EPIC program has substantially added value to the hospital's floor care program.
